Training your dog may not be a concern for you if you have a puppy, since most puppies are eager to please. If you adopted a dog who wasn’t properly socialized, however, then you may have some concerns about managing their behavior when you leave the house for walks or visits to the dog park.

At K9 and You in Houston, we understand the frustration and stress that an untrained dog can cause, which is why we offer group classes to help both you and your pet learn how to communicate with one another. The more that your dog understands what you want, and the more that you understand their non-verbal cues, the better their behavior will be.

Guaranteed Professional Help

It is nice to take advantage of the many dog training sources that are available, such as books and websites, but nothing compares to having a professional dog trainer help you in a group class. Additionally, if there is another dog in the class having trouble that you haven’t experienced with your dog, you can benefit by listening to the advice given to the other pet parent. You never know when you may need that advice down the road.

Socialization Opportunities

Dogs are naturally social animals who learn how to behave around other dogs by figuring out appropriate boundaries when they are puppies. If you adopted a dog who does not know proper social behaviors, then a group class can help both you and your dog learn these important skills.

If your dog struggles with being around other dogs, then let us know. We can provide private in-home instruction or point you in the right direction to help you with your dog’s behavior around other dogs.
